My Story
Hair has been my career since I was a teenager and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It is a wonderful journey that has allowed me to experience the artistic trends of multiple eras. It has given me the chance to form long term and solid relationships with people, in fact, some clients have been with me over 20 years. This career has let me travel to many cities for jobs and allowed me to live and work in Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles.

After graduation, I moved to Chicago and trained through the rigorous education program at Vidal Sassoon. The skills were drilled into me and I landed a position as a colorist and chemical technician. While doing platform education at The International Beauty Show in New York City, I was offered a position at Bumble and Bumble to both work on their clients and train their assistants. Over the years I have expanded my skill set to include men and women's haircuts, straightening and smoothing techniques, American Wave, and numerous types of hair extension applications. Styling hair for the Nordstrom runway shows, commercial photo shoots, weddings and independent films can also be found on my resume.
After many years, I am still inspired and always find new techniques to be challenged by. Recently I have been putting much of my free time into my Instagram page, Jomohair, which has led me to doing more fashion forward make-up, wardrobe and photography.
